This year over 170 sites worldwide participated in Global Water Dances 2019 (6/15/19). Global Water Dances promotes community awareness and a behavioral shift toward water preservation and conservation. Launched in 2008 as an extension of work done by Minneapolis choreographer Marylee Hardenbergh, locations include Paris, Seoul, Mexico City and Minneapolis. Choreographers Lori Mercil, Rae Eden Frank and Una Setia directed the event that speaks to water protection and sanitation worldwide and the urgency of protecting and restoring the Mississippi River.
