Christopher Watson Dance Company’s 25th Anniversary Concert “Social Animal” (5/20-22/16) at the Cowles Center for the Arts was a banquet of sensual delights – exciting and thought-provoking choreography, interesting live and recorded music, and subtle and powerful performances. This ensemble breathes and feels – the presentation is so organic/grounded. Seeing it is somewhat like going home AND on a trip at the same time – like you’re having new experiences with old friends. The group’s history was sampled from dance/music videos shared by members.
