Raquel Rodriguez, opening act New Sound Underground, Ice House, Mpls, 8/12/17 – NSU’s opening set was incendiary - material is tighter, and more harmonic and groovier than ever. Lots of original compositions easily moved the crowd. The RR and Sam Brawner R&B/soul machine grabbed the audience with their hot Wis. Band and didn’t let go. Two bands with style and power arranged with TLC by Vanessa DeLaire. With the tables out of the way, the Ice House is easily one of the best rooms for listening and dancing.
